I've been a regular attender of the DCNOs since they started but noted a distinct lack of any DCNOs happening this year. As such, I would like to start one but since I've never organized a Nerf War before, I would like some pointers on how to hold a successful Nerf Outing.

Fleming is a better option for me but to be honest, I don't really see much need for cover with the ranges of most of our weapons. It's a nice extra but it's not really necessary when dodging is an effective tactic in and of itself.

Glad I got out of there when I did. Before this war, I never used a gun that I fully trusted. Now, I trust my RF20 and I even got to get a few kills with a Double Shot. Also, I learned that I shouldn't crawl under the catwalks in the temp building area. I actually was surprised by the number of melee kills I got during the pistol round.

Update: I tested the seal and it turns out that there's some leakage around the barrels. Thanks for the help guys.

The stock turret seal is not at all perfect. The problem is more likely caused by the barrel material being too tight. Fixing the seal wont hurt, but that alone wont necessarily fix your issue if that's the case.

Before posting this, I added a Tek 6 spring to the plunger tube. Of course, I had to cut both springs down to ensure that I could pull the plunger all the way back.

I replaced my Firefly's barrels with CPVC but when I try to fire it, the darts won't come out. The plunger will slam against the end of the tube but the dart doesn't come out. Can anyone help me here?

I see the Deploy being used in Assassinations. You walk up to the guy wearing a coat but apparently unarmed. Then, when you get close to him at a good spot, you take this sucker out of your coat, deploy it, fire six random shots hoping one will hit, then run away. I can also see it being used as a form of protection against assassinations. Heck, if you're feeling dirty enough, you can use to look like a bystander in a nerf war when you're actually a raider.

Cutting the turret like you did isn't at all necessary. Just pry the turret halves apart and cut off the pegs.

Some newer turrets are just one solid piece. While I demonstrated this with an old turret, it's intended for the new turrets.

If any of you bought a Tek Six recently, you'll know that Z-man12's mod won't work on the redesigned turret. However, I devised a mod to help with the new turret.

You need:
* Tek Six turret
* hacksaw
* pliers
* rubber bands
* barrel material of your choice (preferably PETG)

First off, you take the turret out of the gun.

Secondly, you remove the pegs with a pair of pliers, (if you haven't already)

Thirdly, you cut the turret so it looks like this

Finally, you slap whatever barrel material you want in there. I haven't tried it but I recommend PETG since it's the most likely candidate to fit.
