PLEASE READ BEFORE PERFORMING THIS MOD: This modification creates a lot of dead space, but still improves the range by a bit. If you don't want to open the blaster back up, either rebarrel it by yourself or wait for me to get brass to add it to the writeup.

I noticed that the spring wasn't getting full compression, and that it is about the size of a nickel, so this is what I did (basically a variation of the penny mod for the maverick) to get the spring to get more compression. Please note that after doing this, the blaster is still extremely easy to prime. The sleek build just gives it a great feel.

Well, with the encouragement from TaerKitty and BrokenSVT, I made my Nerf SalvoFly. Really, all it is is a salvo tank shoved into a firefly. In this thread, I'm just going to post some pictures kind of showing how I put it all together.

This is the first picture I took of the progress. It kind of shows what I did.


The tank still had it's original barrel, so I wrapped it in etape then gooped and solvent welded it in:


I removed the air restrictors:


How I lined up the trigger and blast button:



Then, I decided I needed a button from a magstrike so that I could make it not lose all the air at once, and I made the priming bar kind of adapt to that:



Then, I noticed it liked to kind of slip off, so I put a piece of plastic on there to keep it from doing that:



Then, I tried firing it like that, but I noticed I needed a check valve after the magstrike button, so I used one from a shot blast:


I ended up putting a fitting at the bottom, back corner of the gun for the tubing to lead in like this:


So, this was what I ended up with:

Alright. I wanted a little more range out of my 2k, and I would have to say that I achieved this even though I have not finished the barrels yet. This is just a tiny guide on how to expand your airtech 2000 tank.

Materials:
around 2-5 inches of 1 inch pvc (used for the tank expansion)
1 inch pvc endcap (used on the exterior part of the expansion)
3/4 inch pvc plug (used on the internal part of the expansion)
1/4 inch tubing
super glue
a red can of oatley "all purpose cement" (solvent weld)
airtech 2000 (of course)

Alternatively, you could use any air powered blaster and any size of pvc/cpvc for the tank expansion.

Take your 2k assembly out of the shell like so, and unscrew the screws for the goo gauge:



Then drain it like so:



Then work on getting the goo gauge plastic separated from the tank. I wiggled it back and forth and turned it some and it popped right out. This doesn't happen for me often, so you might have to cut it, then drill it out for the vinyl tubing to fit in.



Next, work on getting the tubing to squeeze in tightly. Once it is able to fit in, put some super glue on it and shove it in. Once that is done, put a good amount of the solvent weld around the seam. Don't hold back.


Now, I don't have pictures of this step, but it is pretty common sense. First sand your 3/4 inch pvc plug down about 1/16 of an inch so that if fits snug in the 1 inch pvc. Then drill out the center so that the tubing fits in snug and repeat what you did on the 2k tank. Then, mark where the pumps tubing will need to go in to the pvc part of the tank, and repeat what you just did for that. All pretty common sense. Please note that if you want to keep the black part of the shell on the gun, you will need to cut it out so the 1 inch pvc slides in. You will also need to remove the 2 screw ports. Here are a couple pictures to explain:
