25 October 2007 - 03:43 PM

Thought some of you guys might like to know about this, and here it is, the Scorpion Bow:

Posted Image

Looks pretty much exactly the same, just with new aesthetics. Internals are probably the same or very similar. Best part though, no annoying little orange tabby things and springs to lose whenever you take it apart.

Additional info:

Availability: Looks to be available now, but is an exclusive TRU gun.
Price: $19.99 USD
Ammo: 6 arrows (BBB had/has 3, not that they really matter anyways)
Source: TRU Big Book
Site: TRU

Nitefinder Feng Shui

03 December 2004 - 11:24 PM

Ok, this is my first large post, so I'll try to do the best that I can. Unfortunately, I have neither pictures nor have I fully completed this mod on my Nitefinder, but I'm just throwing my idea out to get some feed back.

First, when I see the Nitefinder I just see big, horrible, unrealistic plastic molding. I know that some may not agree with this and it actually has some beauty hidden deep down inside, but for starters on my bash of this initial design, I'll mention the bulky silver section of the gun. What real gun do you know of has an incomplete casing such as the one used for the Nitefinder? Many of you have taken the liberty to rid yourselves of this hideous mass of molded synthetics by just hacking off the whole front section of this gun and following the distinct lines that the original manufacturers put on it (yes, I'm talking about the part that surrounds the trigger and has some fake screw-heads plastered into the side). This was a small step, but a giant leap for cosmetic mod's kind. This was the sole reason why I devised this plan.

Now this basic cosmetic mod served its purpose, it trimmed the gun down, thus decreasing the area that a Nitefinder horded in our cargo pockets. In turn letting us stuff many more Stefans in the excess space. Unfortunately, I couldn't stand to see the Nitefinder butchered in such a ghastly manner. This cosmetic mod left the gun too front-heavy, aesthetically speaking, and made the Nitefinder look like a Beretta Tomcat 32acp INOX (SS)
Or a horribly deformed Oopma-Loompa gun, so I had to change it to please my aesthetic needs. So, over the next few days I will inform you about my plan to make the Nitefinder a more Feng Shui gun by balancing its inner beauty through the art of Yin and Yang.

P.S. :nugget: Ninjas are definitely Feng Shui. ;)

The Scout

08 August 2004 - 09:58 AM

I was searching on the forums for information on the new N-strike line because I haven't been here in eons, even though I wasn't too active when I was here, and I became captivated by the new Scout. It looked "sweet," It looked "fresh," and it looked like a Nite Finder had a child with a Lock 'n Load. Then, to my disappointment, I read that someone took it apart and tried to mod it because he thought it was terrible. Then I thought about it, what if you replaced the Scout's internals, supposedly horrible, with another gun's, such as the Nite Finder, due to the similarities, or something else. Unfortunately, I didn't go to APOC (or any other wars for that matter), wasn't lucky enough to win one of the new guns, and I couldn't find any topics with pictures of the Scout's internals, I was hopping if you guys could give me some insight on this idea.

Thanks for the help,
-ECN

EDIT: Also, just some pictures of the Scout's internals would probably be enough.
