Okay so last night I was looking at the longshot pistol (the front part) and since I never use the front together with the back, I thought, "Why not just saw off the top barrel that (unless I'm misinformed) is useless for the pistol and add a top-mounted clip, maybe like forsaken angel's deoderant clip onto a piece of brass?"
I searched for anything like this and found nothing on NerfHaven. Would this work or is there something I'm missing? Any ideas/constructive criticism welcome.

Longshot Pistol Clip Mod?
15 June 2007 - 02:14 PM
Crossfire Trouble
29 May 2007 - 06:35 PM
Ok so I have a crossfire that is lightly modded but nothing internal, and want to raise its range. However I have been encountering some problems, and also I have only 1/2" pvc, a crayola, and this weird 1/2" metal conduit pipe that is sort of like a gray version of brass.
So the conduit stuff fits very snugly so I just replaced the original barrel with this and have some stefans that fit very nicely with this. But when I try to fire the dart goes absolutely nowhere. The PVC does not fit the plunger due to the thickness of the pipe but the inner diameter is pretty good.
I have extensively searched for a mod to do with these materials and found a crayola mod but it is not clear and involves wrecking the plunger so I don't really want to do that. Any suggestions/ help would be greatly appreciated.

The New Nerfer's Guide
18 May 2007 - 04:09 PM
Hi guys. This is my first post and I want it to be a useful one, so I decided to make a
write-up of all the things that I found helpful since I'm new to nerfing. By the way: some parts of this guide
are taken from other posts here(these are in quotes). I did this to minimize new players asking about things that are already
posted and to keep people from asking pointless questions that no one bothers to answer.
Here it is, I hope it helps

Don't know what someone's talking about with all those weird gun abbreviations?
Look here.

AT3K- Air tech 3000
SM250- Supermaxx 250

FF(rarely used abbreviation)- Firefly
TTG- Tech Target Gun
Lnl- Lock n' Load
LS- Longshot
Mag- Magstrike

Making Darts
Nerfers make darts to increase range, not to hurt people more.
The darts are called stefans.
"Stefans are homemade darts. They are made using foam backing rod (FBR) that can be found at most local hardware stores, weight (everything from tacks, steel shot, and bb’s), and a dome of hot glue. Well-made stefans, when coupled with the correct barrel, will put almost any stock dart to shame in terms of performance. For an excellent guide to making Stefans, go here." -ompa
Sorry, "go here" used to be a link but it went away when I copied it (could someone please help me with that?)
Just search stefans or go to http://nerfhaven.com...?showtopic=1630
Materials:
Every good nerfer needs good supplies. This is a list of useful supplies to have around:
PVC- a basic barrel material that is piping
FBR- Foam Backer Rod used for making stefan darts, called caulk saver in some places
Brass- Used as another barrel material, piping
PETG- Another barrel material, clear
CPVC- Just a smaller size of PVC but used for water unlike PVC
Epoxy- General purpose, really useful to have some handy
PVC cement- Used to hold PVC in place
eTape- Electrical tape
Fishing weights- used in making stefans
Tools:
hacksaw
dremel- a rotary cutting tool
ruler
screwdriver
drill and assorted bit sizes
hot glue gun
tarps, nails, and other useful little things you find that might come in handy
I hope this helps all of you new players and cuts down on the amount of posts with questions like
"What is FBR?????"
Feel free to post mistakes or missing items so I can fix them.
