I played Munchkin for the first time this past weekend, and it was a blast. Nothing quite like a halfling riding a giant mutated gerbil with press-on wings and a plastic nun dashboard ornament.
My favorite boardgame is Last Night on Earth. Woo for zombies!

All these people referring to N64 as classic gaming make me feel old. I learned to read playing Final Fantasy for the NES.
As for best games I've played, first and foremost is Eternal Darkness. Great Lovecraftian story, fun gameplay, and the Sanity system make for an amazing experience late at night, with the lights off and the surround sound on. The Disgaea series is amazing as well, for entirely different reasons. It's hilarious, and has surprisingly deep tactical gameplay. Displaces a lot of games for #2 on my list. Rounding out my top 3 is a tie between the Time Crisis series, the House of the Dead series, and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, because Lightgun games kick ass. I'm also a fan of Castlevania games, especially Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow. Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin were mediocre at best.
Nostalgia mentions go to Wolfenstein 3D, any number of text adventures, Bubble Bobble, and Heretic.
Sheer awesome but never got to play much mentions go to Chrono Trigger, the Breath of Fire series, and Gunstar Heroes.
Only average but fun to play: Halo, Godhand, Ragnarok Online.

I'm curious, what sort of materials do you use on your boffers? Most those *have* to be latex. Either that, or you're some sort of crazy tape-fu master
Mostly looking for the type of foam, as cores and the like are fairly generic.
A few friends and I have been working on starting up doing the latex thing, and it's easier going than we thought it would be. We're not on true latex just yet, using bedroll foam and plasti-dip, but it's getting there. We've made a pair of Arabian-esque scimitars, four chakram, a dagger, and a bonesaw. Of those, I've only got the last, used for my chirurgeon in a low-fantasy horror larp. I'll dig it up and try to get some pictures.
Edited for some absolutely horrible spelling that I'll most likely have to sacrifice a ream of paper to the Grammar Gods for.

"Come Sail Away" is Styx. I'm liking all the love for Blue Öyster Cult here, though
