Making A Big Water Pump

12 January 2009 - 05:07 PM

I am making a giant manual water pump with 4" PCV. I need a giant plunger head to fit inside, a lot like a homemade nerf gun. The problem is i can't think of anything to make the plunger head out of because of the size. Can throw some ideas at me? Thanks in advance. . .

For all you 007 Nightfire fans! So I was at my local odds and ends store yesterday when I noticed this little device. It advertised you being in your drive-way and turning the lights on in your house. It plugs into the wall, theres an outlet on the bottom and a little remote on a keychain. I also found a little motor with a small plastic gear on it. At this point I thought remote controlled RF20. So this morning it came all together. I had to extend the trigger for that the little motor to pull the trigger, I did this by gluing some wood to it so there would be more torque on the end of the extension. I then tied some string around the end of the wood piece and up the the motor. Then plugged in the motor via extension cord to the remotely-turning-stuff-on-thingy, put all of it on a tripod, and there you have it remote operated RF20.

Pistol With External Tank

22 September 2008 - 07:22 PM

I had an attempt at making a semi-auto maverick, quite a while ago. It didn't turn out as I had hoped, there was a massive amount of air leak between the turret and the plunger. About a week ago I found it in my closet and decided to try and just glue a coupler on it and see how that worked. With an RCSB barrel assembly on it, it gets about 80 ft, 6 shots, pretty much semi-auto. (Point down to load, then shoot.) The tank hold 20 shots worth of air using the RCSB. It is also very good with a shot gun barrel, or any other attachments.

Homemade Rifle

So, I recently finished my homemade rifle. The bolt and plunger are similar to Boltsniper's FAR, and the rest is random stuff I threw together to make it work. It gets about thirties level and this is where the problem comes in. The dart seems to be sailing along fine at about 20-25ft and then it dives. It is rather strange, so the question is, what may be causing this and has it ever happened to you?

Converted Paintball To Nerf

23 July 2008 - 11:32 AM

Here is something I threw together this morning and I am fairly pleased. Its a cheap shotgun style paintball gun, which i sawed half the barrel off of and put a basic CPVC breech on. Also a cardboard gravity-fed magazine. It works quite well however, it is too powerful. It actually rips the darts in half when it fires. This maybe because of how the beech is constructed. I think it could be effective for longer ranges if I can work out a better breech that suits the need.
