roboman: I'm still waiting on my 9/16" barrel since no store around me has them in stock but the brass feels noticeably slipperier. I imagine that it'll make the sliding action of my breech a bit smoother. I was going more for the aesthetics so any performance gain is just a bonus.

I second what SgNerf suggested. I've never had my bolt nub snap from using his design. My bolt sled would always snap before the bolt nub.

The best solution is to rip the tip off a streamline and make slug darts (washer and felt tip glued to the front of the dart). You'll see a huge increase in consistency.
