I have been moding for a while taking out air restrictors and other various mods. Every time I remove an air restrictor it increases the range of the gun, but it has extreme differences in range. I use streamline that are undamaged and basically brand new so it is not the dart. Why does it not shoot the same every time? How can I prevent of fix this problem? Thanks,

I am into nerf and I am into metal castings and forging. It was only a while before I put 1 and 2 together. A nerf gun made out of 100% metal with a monster of a spring in it. I think it would be cool, but it is basically turning nerf guns into real gun. It will still shoot a dart and be super cool. Before I put all the effort into the idea I would like some other opinions and if anybody would be willing to buy it. I have not determined a price because I have to set the price after words because of cost of material and effort. Pleas give me your opinion and any ideas of what I should do or problems I may run into.

Thanks for all of the information on spring that will help a lot. Another thing I am worrying about is homemade nerf gun. If you have any tips or problems to look out for that would be cool.

Hello, I have been moding nerf guns in Germany for a while and I have had no luck finding spring to put in the guns. My solution was to buy them online, but I have no idea of what the sizes for the springs are along with a new catch spring. EBay’s spring seem to be too high in price so if anyone has a simple way of measuring spring and were to get them that would be great.
