In Topic: Specific Lubircant?

27 August 2007 - 11:45 PM

Number of sexual jokes involing the fact that this topic has "lubricant" in the title: 0 (not nearly enough)

My thread summary:

Some people lube their "gun" with K-Y, but that stuff wears off too quickly, leaving you dry. Vaseline might not be safe for "rubber", if you know what I mean (you don't want your seal breaking at the wrong time!). Silicone lube will last much longer -- plenty of time for a little "gunplay".

(If you weren't serious, please tell me instead of 9999ing. Thank you.)

On an unrelated note, if you replace the spring in a gun you'll also want to put in a more powerful trigger spring. Otherwise, your "gun" will go off before you see any "action", and you won't have any "ammo" when it's time for "gunplay".

Hey, I tried your innuendo jokes. If you don't like 'em, feel free to suck my "Titan's" "Barrel".

Yeah, if you can connect an RF20's airbladder to the part that pumps up the Hornet and keep the rest of the Titan independant, air-wise, then that thing would be a serious beast in a nerf war. (Range/Accuracy/Power plus Dart Barrage.)

The only thing is could REALLY use is a shoulder strap... (And a modded scout/NF or even a DSG*. Scout would probably be best due to the shared trigger function...)

DSG=Disk Shot Gun. Now availible in Wal-Marts in Columbus with extra darts and Disks for $10-something.

EDIT: Hey! Those aren't aluminum tubes! They're CPVC painted silver! (You missed a big spot in the middle of the turret.)

Den Of Foam's instructions:

Part I:
To begin, unscrew the two halves of the big black part of the shell and set it and the yellow dial aside. Now, unscrew the large grey part of the shell, and lift off the half of the shell on top (barrels pointing right.) Lift out the barrel assembly. Take your screwdriver and unscrew the screw in the front center of the barrel assembly. Now unscrew the screws on the back of the barrel assembly. Pull the barrels off of the base of the assembly, and watch as twenty air restrictors come falling out. These people need to get a grip... Anyway, throw them away. All of them. Now, put the barrel assembly back together without the restrictors, and screw it all back together, front and back. Now your Rapid Fire 20 can shoot stefans, and doesn't have a bunch of annoying air restrictors hindering the air. Yay...

Essentially, you pry the grey halves apart and then try to work with it...

And for the other two, TEH GOOGLES!!! ZEY DO NUZZING!!! Ahem, sorry. Couldn't resist. So if you could, I would really appreciate a link or two. And my PVC Cutting/Shaping wheel for my dremel works really well in cutting apart plastic, but I still kinda want the gun to "look pretty"...

WHY MUST THE REALLY COOL MACHINE GUN BE SUCH A BITCH TO GET OPEN?!?! IT'S NOT FAIR!!!

Since this topic is still active, does ANYONE have any vids/pic of getting that fuggin' black thing off the back without sawing the blighter off? I've already given up on one and am proceeding to sawing the grey piece off before I mangle the thing too badly. I know Forsaken said that he used lighter fluid, but there's also a grey peg on the underside of the black thing and wanted to know how he got around that. (That, and I don't like using lighter fluid. I do most of my work inside and I don't want to worry about fumes of anything like that.)

That, and I also must say that this particular point isn't covered in ANY of the main parts of the RF20 mods. (At least, not that I saw, and I've checked all three of them several times.)

The Manta Ray integration would be at least eight times more awesome. This is a Fact proven by Science.

You might even be able to use the manta's cocking handles as pumps for the air presure tanks... Which I would try if I could find my one defuct Manta and get a couple packs of these buggers to try it out with. I also have another idea for a Manta but I'd need A. some place that shapes steel, B. A place that'll coat it with titanium, (What? I don't want my super-slick shield rusting from a small thing like rain!) and C. Some fairly powerful magnets. I'll let you guys figure out my evil plan on your own... BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
