Bike Valves
31 January 2008 - 07:20 PM
When I make pnumatic guns I have always noticed how expensive tire valves are. Well, through my failure to think, I only just recently discovered that you can, in fact get TIRE valves from, get this, Dead bike tires. They work fine and have saved me maybe 60 dollars that I would otherwise have wasted on buying new tire valves from the hardware store.
Strength Of Pins (in Regards To The Trigger System
30 January 2008 - 05:34 PM
On suggestion from Captain Slug I bought some springs to make some spring-powered guns. Now I have the system in order, but I'm afraid of one thing. The springs I'm using are pretty stong springs and I am wondering how much weight pins in, for example, Carbon and BS's guns can hold back. My other question is what materials should I use for the pin (and for that matter, the rest of the trigger system)?

Springs
17 January 2008 - 05:48 PM
I've looked all over, and I always see people talking about "NEW, BEEFY, POWERFUL SPRINGS." Now that I want to do some more mods and homemades and such, I'm wondering, Where the hell do you get them. Do you just get them at the hardware store, or is there some secret spring blackmarket I'm just not aware of?
Proplusion, Springs And Psi
10 January 2008 - 09:42 PM
As I said in my last post, I am looking to branch out with homemades. I also feel the need to better understand the physics behind spring powered and air-pressure powered guns. I was jsut wondering if I could get any.. formulas, etc, in order to explain how to use spring. Also, a ratio of psi to velocity... yeah, if that makes any sense just hit me up here. It would be appreciated.
