It probably would be possible to make a homemade that shoots/flings them, but it would probably be useless. and a waste of time. Wounldn't it be "funner" to randomly throw stars at someone. They do look fun I might get a set. I agree with Ubermensch one should be able to use them as a melee weapon.
P.s I know funner isn't a real word but you know what I mean.
