The check valve blew on my stock magstrike pump. I then replaced it with a bike pump. that one blew too. I guess I shouldn't pump it so much.

Lesson? Buy a good bike pump.

PointBlank: I'm pretty sure you need a catch spring if you put in a more powerful cocking spring. My NF used to misfire even with a click pen spring to replace the catch. My point is that you probably need to have a decently powerful catch spring.

I have successfully used one of the longshot springs as a catch spring. I'm not sure which one it was, but it might have been from somewhere in the trigger assembly. It works better than any of the pen spring I have tried, maybe better than the stock spring.
