Maverick Trigger Problems

Ok, I was messing around with my maverick and I completely disassembled it. When I went to put it back together, the trigger was not returning to its original spot when I pulled it. Here are some pics:

So, I was looking around my house when I found this:

I opened it up and found the part that holds the poppers:

I thought hmm, maybe I could do something with this.

Ok, how it works. It's just the impact of the grenade ont the ground, wall, etc. that flings the darts out. The harder it hits, the farther the darts go.

Has Anyone Seen These Guns Before?

Ok, I went to the Dollar Store today, and I found these:

The thing that really caught my eye after I bought them were the darts:

Another weird thing I noticed was that there are NO screws in them.
They don't shoot for crap, but they are small enough to be pocketed.
Any comments?
