Nice job, bro. It seems like a bitch to get out, but I'll definitely try this on my LnL. It seems to me that with the solid body of the clay resting behind the plastic directly, it may reduce the likelihood of stress-fractures, maybe.

This is very true. I've been working with 2K's, 3K's and 4K's of late, and really the 4K isn't much larger than the 3K. They are all very similar in size, but the 3K has just a little more strength due to its lower amount of deadspace, I've found. Still, the 2K is the most simple, hardest to mess up, and smallest, but if you want power go for the 3k.Hey all
just wondering for a project I'm thinking about: does an at4k tank and setup produce more air? It it more powerful that it's predecessors? I guess what I'm asking is which atwhateverthousand setup wii giveme the greatest ranges?
Or ifyou have any other setup suggestions that you think would give me even better ranges please let me know...
No, all of the AT tanks are pretty close to the same size. The range increases you have seen lately are all due to well executed mods. Turret seal is one of the most important factors.
(Btw, Edit) My ranges on my McNumber's style 3k went up about ~40 feet when I got a good dart fit and created a 99% air tight seal with the turret.

I was seriously just thinking about this today. Would tightening rings interfere with the breech system at all? That could add to the performance greatly, if not.

I had trouble at first with tightening rings, but they just take a lot of patience for it to come out well. If a little bit happens to slip through and break the wall of the PETG or brass, put a tiny bit of Plumber's Goop right on the spot, and wrap it in a small piece of e-tape for support after the goop dries. It's worked wonders for me.
