Topics I've Started

Shelia, The Dtb

10 June 2009 - 06:39 PM

Tools / Supplies required.
DTB
NF
Normal 1/2'' coupler (CPVC)
T-Coupler (1/2'' CPVC)
Hot Glue
Replacement Spring.
Dremel
Silicone Lube
A 4 3/4'' length of CPVC
Cutting Disc/bit
Drill bit
Pipe Cutters
Epoxy

So, start with these two guns. The underrated DTB and the great NF. (I am aware of the non-stock NF)

I can't go into great detail on how to cpvc-coupler the NF, but cut the coupler in half. Glue / Epoxy the coupler onto the second internal piece that's after the plunger tube. Basically it looks like this.

Posted Image
Minimize the shell using this cutting bit for your dremel.

DTB internals.
Posted Image
Take the DTB, remove the air restrictors and cut the posts off the piece that looks like the NF's air restrictor post thing. Wow that was indescriptive, I'm sorry.
Posted Image
Take your ordinary T-Coupler
Posted Image
Take the 4 3/4'' length of CPVC and cut it about 1/2'' in. Like so.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Take the rod from the DTB cocking handle. Get a drill bit the same width or a bit bigger, drill where marked.

PART 2 IN A MINUTE DON'T POST!

Wayne Triple Tech Blaster

Well, I got this for christmas, and was utterly dissappointed. Barely scraped 20' ranges. So, I opened it up.
Materials Required:
Good size screwdriver.
Knife.
Plumbers goop.
Your barrel material.
So, start unscrewing the many, many, many movable parts.
Posted Image
Make sure you get every hidden screw.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
Internals.
Posted Image
Airtank. About 4" long.
Posted Image
Pump. 3" pump stroke.
Posted Image
Video on how the trigger/pump/valve system works. *Note: That's my little brother playing a game in the background.
Posted Image
Take all this out.
Posted Image
Cut it to look like this. Note. The barrel switching valve will still be on.
Posted Image
Cut here.
Posted Image
This will come off.
Posted Image
Push pin valve.
Posted Image
This is perfect for multiple barrel attachments.

With a crayola barrel just held on by my fingers, the dart sped 30' in half a second, and hit the wall. I'm hoping for 60' plus.
Questions? Flames? Comments?
Ranges - I just went outside with the 100' tape. 85 feet flat. I was amazed. Considering I haven't plugged the pump, or even have a decent barrel on. All I did was e-tape a crayola barrel on. I used a CDTD, I lost all my stefans.

Disk Shot Mod | Crayola Barrel | Vacuum Loads

09 May 2009 - 10:02 PM

I'm not one for introductions so, here we go.
Tools needed for this:
Knife, preferably the knife you use to cut your stefans.
E-tape, about 2-4 inches of it.
Hot glue, about one stick.
Dremel, I used a sanding bit. My AR's were already out when I did this mod.
Screwdriver. Preferably a small one, not too small though.
So, open the disk shot pistol up. This is what you'll see.
Posted Image
This is what you'll need for this part. E-tape, an o-ring, and a blank stefan. Micro stefan.
Posted Image
Cut a quarter inch length of FBR off your blank. Take the plunger head off the plunger rod. It comes apart in three pieces, including the o-ring.
Posted Image
Glue the two orange pieces together, take the piece of FBR and cut a hole in the middle. Put the screw through it. Wrap the head in e-tape, then put the o-ring over it. I nestled a doubleshot and a disk shot spring together, they work perfectly. Screw it back on, this is what it should look like.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Take this piece, should be the second piece after the plunger tube.
Posted Image
Dremel it out until it looks like this.
Posted Image
Literally wedge and push the crayola barrel in. Stop when the crayola barrel hits the inside lip of the piece. Then glue. Like so.

Posted Image
Posted Image
Place it where it would normally go on the end of the plunger tube, put in a new catch spring. This is what it should end up looking like.

Posted Image

A view on the nestled springs.
Posted Image
Ranges vary from 40-50 feet, my barrel is too small. It should be longer.
Comments? Questions? Flames?

Nf | Less Dead Space | Crayola Rebarrel | Sili Lubed.

04 May 2009 - 10:33 AM

Okay, so. The materials needed are:
Hot glue.
Crayola marker.
One nightfinder. (Duh).
Silicone lubricant.
Electrical Tape
Start by hollowing out the grooves inside the crayola marker.

Posted Image
Take the original barrel male "coupler" and take off/pry the ridge off.
Posted Image
Place the crayola barrel in, wrap the base of the barrel (the part you're putting in the "coupler") in one or two layers of e-tape and wedge it in there.
Posted Image
Put it back onto the piece that it goes onto that goes onto the plunger tube. (Confusing sentance there..). Start doing what angel did to his BBB. Fill in the dead space with hot glue.
Posted Image
Posted Image

After that, just spray silicone lube down the barrel.
I'm using stock darts, the stock spring, and I'm getting 45-50'.
Q / F / C's?

So, I seriously suck at intro's. Here we go.
Materials Needed:
E-Tape
Crayola Barrel
Hot Glue
Spray paint (optional)
Painters tape.
So, start by putting this piece in a clamp. (Not like I did, that looks retarded. Don't know why I put it like that ).
Posted Image
Cut it right here, with a dremel or a knife, I just used the knife to show where.
Posted Image
Here's what it should look like.
Posted Image

Take this crayola barrel and cut it down, sand out the grooves on the inside, and wrap it in a couple of layer of e-tape until you have to jam that thing in the BBB front barrel assembly hole. Wow that sentance was a mouthful.
Posted Image

Now, at the end, fill in the dead space. I know this is a shitty picture of it.
Posted Image

Jam the barrel in, apply the adheisive, I used hot glue. Epoxy and plumber's goop are almost unavailable to me.
Posted Image

Painter's tape it up, give it a shitty painjob like this.
Posted Image
Painter's tape a name up there, use a contrasting colour on it.

Here we go.
Posted Image

Ranges:
I added a NF spring, with stock taggers I'm getting about 50-60 feet.
