So the gun won't actually be primed while pulling back? Since pulling back normally compresses the spring, the pull back in this case would not stretch the spring. Only a forward motion would prime right?

Intriguing. Still wondering if this would jam any more often or not be as smooth because it is cpvc and the fit of stefans in cpvc is a lot tighter. Im sure if you used the grey foam bullets then it would be fine but thicker foam don't think would work that well. Also, im curious as to the seal of the bolt, they are sealed simply from contact inside a coupler, which sounds like it might work but having hard surfaces in contact dont normally form tight seals. Also, what springs do you have in there?

I'd like to give this a shot, except I live in Canada and Mcmaster doesnt ship there. I got all the PVC i could ever want, but stuff like clear tubing and polycarb I dont have access to. I've made a SNAP b4 but had a lot of trouble with the catch, this on the other hand looks a lot more sturdy. I wonder if there could be a way to build the RainBow catch using PVC endcaps (starts drawing).
EDIT: Didnt see Carbons earlier post, but ya, using endcaps to somehow build this seems like a good candidate for SNAP 6. Also props to Stark for such a simple yet effective homemade.

Looks nice. Would it be possible to attach a foregrip to the +bow pump grip or would that make it more difficult to prime? This looks like it would be quite easy to do on a SNAP as well, unless 1/2" cpvc is too likely to break after putting in a channel...

UPDATE
A member was contacting me asking how my gun fired exactly, so I thought I should add a video of the action.
Video
Also here are some more pics of the updated version of the gun. I changed the grip so its now a PVC handle with a nice foam grip.
