so here is the completed version of Serenity
named after Malcolm Reynolds ship in the short lived TV show Firefly

This is a big blast and an AT2K inside of a firefly shell

the firefly's shell needed some dremmel work to clear out all the plastic that held things like the tube and plunger and the trigger but other than that it fit in rather well. I remade the bigblasts pump but cutting off the original plastic it came with and replaced it with a longer piece of 1/2" cpvc. there is a coupler on the pump towards the head which prevents the pump from completly falling out because the couple is too large to fit between that narrow section in the back of the firefly.

The rail system is made from two pieces of 5" 3/4" cpvc and two pieces of 9" 1/2" cpvc which act as a rail to guide the pump so it will only go back and forth and not giggle around. That and I love the look of external pipes














there are no official ranges on the big blast or the AT2K however since they are fairly standard mods I expect them to get your average range from their respective counterparts out there.

The topic pretty much says it all. I wanted a pistol version of an AT2K but there are two problems I have with the AT2K shell.

1: it is two small for my hands
2: its just hate the way the stupid shell looks

so I solved that by gutting a broken maverick and did a little dremel work on the front of the maverick to fit the at2k's chamber and the CPVC coupler. I also hot glued an old cell phone clip just to be able to stick it to my belt

the little red thing on the pump was cut from the at2k shell, it keeps the the pump from falling out and getting broken or lost or anything similar.

ranges are typical of a singled at2k, nothing special just done because I like the feel of maverick shell.
I do plan to make a barrel that will shot multiple darts at once to get a nice spread shot. But, I am currently out of CPVC and I dont really have the time to get some and make it just yet.

Alright I have been lurking around nerfhaven for awhile waiting for my account to be validated, and now that it has been I though I would share my first gun mod and say Hi to everyone and introduce myself.

I am Eric, you can call me Eric, club, clubace or whatever so long as I know your talking about me. I am fairly new to nerfing, I have only been to one war and I play humans Vs zombies and I do plan on attending DCNO this year so I will be able to meet some of you.

As you can see it has an AT2K added which I plan to use as a primary. Its a typical AT2K with a CPVC coupler so its ranges are pretty standard. The way to fire it is to pull back on the PVC end cap, the reason I chose to do that was that I am not a big fan of the keyring thing (nothing wrong or against it I just don't like it). Then there is the firefly turret itself. I have herd over and over how poorly the Firefly preforms and I did not want to believe it. The gun just looks so nice and it is very comfortable to hold so I though if I tried hard enough I could make it work. But, no matter how much I fought the firefly is just too sub par to be worth all the effort.

I have replaced its barrels, switched to a stronger spring, and improved some of the seals and its still bad

Ranges any where from:
25' to darts not coming out of the barrel.

so I am giving up on the firefly's turret and I plan to replace it with another pump gun and use that as a canister scatter shot. I am thinking about making it a titan.

Anyone have any ideas what would be a good mod for a canister shot that would fit inside of a firefly?
