In Topic: How To Resurrect A Crossbow

Is it just me or has there been a lot more wood work on NH lately? Anywho, very nicely done. I'm enjoying the nice wood work on here. next up should be a luxury crossbow with stained wood inserts. *laughs* (just to get around the no IM talk rule)

Suggestion:

1)Check your airseal. The dart tooth may not be the problem

2)Check your ddart fit. If darts are falling out the front then the darts are probably to loose.

3)Check to see if your dart tooth is backward, upside down, or crooked.

4)Try a different spring. If you have tons of spare parts lying around like I do, theen you might have grabbed the wrong spring.

Hope this helps. If not some pictures would be nice.

ok airseal seems solid teflon & e-tape are doing their job fairly effectively

since I didn't do a barrel replacement the faux barrel is obviously bigger than the darts and the boltsled seems to fit the darts fairly tightly

the dart tooth seems to be exactly the way captain slug's longshot images suggest it should be

Its certainly a NF spring but if this problem keeps up I may just add another spring or put some stronger spring in it

I reallt want to put some pics up but my camera is on the fritz and uploading from it has been a trip

The problem could be the electrical and teflon tape. it could be too tight and slow down the plunger before it reaches all the way. I was experimenting with it yesterday when i was removing dead space.

i did something similar but instead i cut halfway through the runner dome and filled the empty space with hot glue and it looks like a stock dart but with better performance.

Interesting. at first i was confused on how it worked because the breech opening went into the air tank(i forgot the technical name for it) i would try it but if i get my hands on a blue ls I'm going to keep it stock because the yellow ones are ugly as all hell.
