LOL, I know its hideous.

And I know why its range sucks. The tube connecting the pump to the pressure chamber was leaking, AND the barrel wasn't properly sealed.

Now, after some repairs, I must say, 125 feet at 15 degree angle is not a crappy range.

(if you think I'm trying to cover up because I'm embarrassed, I could give you a video, but Im hoping you're not that type of person)

This is my best modified gun. I just finished it this morning; getting it done before I start on my new project.

I have never thought that this gun would get such great ranges... I thought my single barrel AT3K mod would be better than this, but apparently not. This gun is incredibly painful after three pumps.
After testing with three types of micro darts on the sidewalk I got some ranges written down roughly:
stock micros go about 80 feet, my homemade micros go about 83 feet, and my modified stock micros got from 85 to 90 feet, with a slight breeze blowing against the dart.
I didn't think it would work so well, being an old larami gun sitting in my basement for ten years.

The thing's pretty accurate up to 85 feet.
Now all it needs is a paintjob.

I would love to test it using stefans, but I can't find any stores selling 1/2 inch foam backer, and I can't get anyone to buy some off of the internet for me.

Sorry that I don't have a better picture at the moment... The gun is long and its hard to fit in one frame with a crappy camera.
Anyway, its my first home made gun. Its spring powered, with a clothespin trigger, and shoots small stefans or stock darts.

I use modified stock darts for range testing.
The ranges usually come in around 72 feet to 76 feet.
Not bad for something made so cheaply and simply.

I added a bolt on the back of the plunger tail, so it feels like a rifle when using it, especially seeing and feeling the bolt slam forward after pulling the trigger... :D

I used a mirror for the picture because there was one right against the wall on my basement floor, beside the desk where I was doing the modding. And I wanted to show the thickness of the gun as well as the profile, in one picture.
I think its better to see nerf guns against a mirror so you can understand its dimensions better.

Hmm, I thought it would be a real armour piercing nerf gun.
I made a gun that pierces a lot more than a lightbulb or paper...
Its not so much the gun, but the dart.
It has a pointy metal tip, and I use it for target practice (so I know where it hits).
Unfortunately, I *accidentally* fired it off and it got stuck in my wall.
Heh, don't try that at home unless you got a paramedic and some plaster.
