I've been painting and modding Nerf guns for a while now, and it seems that when finishing, there are two options: 1) leave the paint unfinished, so it either cannot be excessively handled, or the paint will wear and you'll end up repainting it or 2) clear coat it, and deal with that awful sticky clear coat feeling. Also, vinyl dye doesn't wear, but that's not terribly economical, especially if I'm painting in anything other than black. Has anyone ever found a method to get rid of or reduce that clear coat stickiness? I'm sorry if this has been discussed before somewhere else, but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere.
