In Topic: The Most Awesome Gun I Own...

Beautiful isn't it? I haven't removed posts or air restrictors yet and I may not. I don't want to risk messing this thing up. There's a yellow dial near the front of the gun, I don't know if it does any good or not. I'll mess with that later. So does anyone know it's name? What do you guys think?

A: There are two copies of this thread, so you might wanna toss one to the side in order to stay out of trouble.
B: The dial to the front switches fire speeds, one setting fires all of the darts rapidly, the setting goes slower so you can use the gun more efficiently.
C: That gun is the "RapidFire 20," you can get it at Toys 'R Us for $20.
D: If you aren't familiar with modding, I wouldn't rush into it just yet.

So, I just recently did a few small scale test runs [with a 15CD case and NF spring] to see how easily this could be triggered by just throwing it. It works beautifully. Just turn the cover enough so that it is hanging off about halfway and toss. Can't wait for you to make a real one CS.

Won't the rubber bands detoriate in that position, especially if left like that?

Can you explain how the spring is going to trigger the rubber bands?

You can always get another rubberband, so I don't think it'd end up being a major issue.

Edit: Scratch that.

That is probably one of the most simplistic yet mind blowing designs period.

to be honest its for a costume I belong to the sandiego star wars society. We are a not for profit organization we do charity events parades all sorts of cool stuff and I have a custom bounty hunter costume. I Have adapted the LS to my costume with a custome paint job I modified the stock a little bit so I wanted to add lights and sounds so I wanted to come to the experts and get your guys opinion.

Well, it depends. Are you wanting the Longshot to still be able to fire after you add the electronics? If you are, I'm not quite sure where you're going to put the light.
