I was bored yesterday and decided to take advantage of the Maverick's "N-Strike tactical rail". I've searched, and not found anyone else who's done this type of mod, so here it is:
The female tactical rail adapter is from a strikefire (crossfire), and is attached with a couple spare parts i had laying around. Namely, a strip of PVC on the side you can't see, and an L-bracket flattened out with the help of pliers.
In order to keep the Maverick from falling off easily, there's a screw in the rail that blocks the sliding of the adapter.
Ranges are normal.
Mods on NF:
Spring replacement
Pet Store PETG barrel replacement
Mods on Maverick:
Slip mechanism glued
4 Pennies behind spring
Note: For those people who will rant on and on about how mavericks suck, I nerf indoors. 30' with stock darts is plenty.

At2k Pvc
06 July 2009 - 11:12 AM
I was rebarreling a AT2K, and I've put in 4 Crayola barrels. However, I saw in one of the mod posts that it's possible to fit 4 1/2" PVC barrels on, and since I use stock taggers in wars, I thought this would be a good idea. In practice, I found out that 4 1/2" PVC barrels just plain don't fit on the turret.
Is there a strange, mystical way of putting them on? Or do I just live with two PVC barrels and 2 crayola barrels?
Reason for PVC is that range with them held on top (not glued) is about 30' more.

Help On Nerf War
05 March 2009 - 11:29 PM
I'm going to be hosting a Nerf War sometime in may with a couple of my friends (I don't think NIC will be invited, as my parents don't know any of you). Anyways, chances are very high one of my friends and I will be supplying all the blasters for 14-16 people. In that case, I'd like to know what a cheap, well-performing outdoor loaner gun can be made/modded in a short amount of time. The war will be with stock darts.
Ideas:
BBBB (seems a little on the expensive side, for multiple)
NFs (I'm not sure if they're good enough for an outdoor primary)
Homemades are ok with me.

At2k Question

I was wondering, is the turret of an AT2K a significant air loss? Most of the mods in the directory single the AT2K, yet the idea of the turret is very appealing to me.
War Legality
08 February 2009 - 07:50 PM
Are DCHAP-1 / DCHAP - 2 based guns allowed at wars? The original threads don't say, but I wanted to try to make a homemade airgun and not waste my time on a gun I wouldn't be able to use in wars.
If they are not legal, are there any airguns that are?
