The idea is to make the bolt double as a trigger by attaching it with a cable to the plunger which works the semiauto valve. The valve plunger system would be like Dr. Nerf's:

The main air tank is not shown, I was thinking of using regulated CO2 but I don't know if there's a easy cost effective way to do this.

btw, does anyone know where I can get PVC part files for solid works, I'll try asking bolt loser?

What are the different kinds of systems used in nerf guns and aplicable real guns? I know about bolt, semi-auto, and full-auto, but I'd like to know more specific aplications of these and what clip designs there are and how they work.

I currently think the R-clip v2 is one of the best I've seen in term of being bolt(possible semi-auto) operated, simple/easy to make, not requiring shells, unlikely to jam. However the clips have a horrible (max length)/(number of rounds) ratio.

Semi-automatic Homemade Valve

I was looking at the plans for the Semi-automatic Homemade Valve in the homemade section. What concerns me most with the design is that with the hole that slides from one side of the O-ring to the other in the brass pipe being so small wouldn't it be hard for the air to escape out to the barrel rapidly?

Has anyone made this, or what do you all think?

I was thinking maybe make this hole bigger and require it slide by two O-rings spaced apart a bit.

Has anyone ever tried making nerf ammo than some stefan variation? Seems like all the mods and homemades I see are designed to shoot .5-1.5" diameter foam cylindars.
