In Topic: Longstrike Cs-6 Revealed

On the bright side, the front attachment to the Longstrike , with some manipulating, allows room for a Vulcan tripod. It does nothing for functionality, but hell if it doesn't look cool.

So I got a chance to screw around with a Deploy last night. One of the guys that works at Amazon.com up on floor 40-something had one of those and a Longstrike. Neither was loaded since building security would have a fit, but the deploy is pretty cool. It holds very well in my hands, is easy to carry, and after spending a few minutes playing with the release mechanism, it seems like it's surprisingly sturdy. The guy also mentioned that the Deploy got better ranges than the Longstrike, for whatever that's worth.
P.S. He had no idea people knew what the hell the deploy was. According to him it goes live on Amazon. along with the Longstrike, on the 1st of February.

Tooth and Claw, from 2006. It's the second episode with the tenth doctor in it, discounting any specials.

Forgive my stupidity, but I just thought of something! Looking at the pictures of the expansion belt, it looks like they come in packs of 20, and the Vulcan itsself comes with 40. Lets go off the pricing of the extra clips, assume about, oh, $8 for each additional belt. 40 bucks for the main gun and 25 bucks for the ammo will score you a belt with a 100 shot capacity. Okay, you may ask, but what's my point?
What if you just looped the damn belt? It's all interchangable, so why not just clip the ends of the now megabelt together and have someone who's sole purpose is reloading? It can't fire that fast, can it? mabye a round a second or so? A good reloader should be able to get 80% of the belt reloaded and allow for some kickass constant fire. Along those same lines, you could position 2 vulcans in a row, have one or more reloaders inbetween, and with enough ammo belts, have a nasty wall of constant fire.
But alas, that is just a crazy thought I had while playing TF2 as an engineer. Who knows if it would work, but whoever gets one first should try it out, let us know if a constant wall of fire is possible!
