Making An Aftermarket Mod Match The Stock Color

22 November 2010 - 10:22 PM

Has anyone had any luck painting a mod to match the stock nerf gun color scheme? If so what brand and colors did you use?

+ Bow With 45 Grip Frame

09 June 2009 - 03:43 PM

I'M also very big into paintball and airsoft. I was recently working on my Automag when I had an idea, what if I could put my Automag Intela frame on a + Bow. So I did some measurements and built the + Bow with the 45 grip frame in CAD 3D. The benefit of using the 45 style grip frame would be the ability to use 45 style hand grips. I also changed up the trigger and the inner handle supports- they will act more like guide for the trigger action. Anywho here's a quick drawing of what it could look like... its still a little ruff.

Chainblazer Bandoliers

16 May 2009 - 03:09 PM

I had two Chain blazers at one time.. then they broke. I ended up using the "chains" as dart bandoliers. Later I moved on to Shotgun shell bandoliers. Its a pretty straight forward mod. I weaved some suspenders in an out of "chain". Again this is from the mid 90's

Small Soldiers With Relief Valve Mod

16 May 2009 - 10:14 AM

Back then there was two Nerf guns that were the most powerful after you did the relief valve mod (supper glue the relief valve shut). One of the two was the Short run Small Soldiers. Shortly after they came out they were pulled from the shelves here localy. I had to pay a dude to find them and.... well that's another story. They came with long pistol barrels and fake scopes, I Only have one scope left out of my two SS pistols- and I cant seem to find the other one this morning (it has the scope). Mind you all of these were in a box for the past however many years it has been sense that movie.

With this Nerf gun I could arc a shot and hit one of the kids pretty far. (I need to by some darts and do a distance test). When we played our monthly youth group Nerf Wars we started at 5pm Friday and ended 8am Saturday. The kids wore all black, signed release forms and had to have mandatory safety glasses. We pulled music from FPS PC games and had that blasting, had strobes and mazes made out of 4' x 8" cardboard sheets. The lights stayed off all night except in the break/dead room, the entire church was fair game.
When this gun went off everyone heard it and the kid who got shot by it knew it was me. Anywho almost 10 years later the beast looks like crap- it still has a loud pop when fired... I tested it on my wife.

The short barrel gave me the most power

Secret Shot Ii, With Tank Mod.

16 May 2009 - 09:35 AM

When I was a leader in the youth group I always had to have the coolest guns- to kind of set the level of play. Anywho I bought the SS-II and noticed you had to pump it up 12 times to get one suck-loaded shot. After I was done modding it I only had to pump it 5 times to get the nasty results I was looking for. Like I said in my other post this was all back in the mid 90's, these are not available today- but this was what we did to get the range we were looking for. IT wasnt as powerful as the modded Small Soldiers pistol but it was close.

Unseen mods: All my pistols were holstered so I had to remove the dart holders. The hole in the back of the second barrel that allowed the air to travel through was enlarged to help the flow. I also put some clear packing tape on the second swing barrel to help seal up the barrel- you and kind of see the tape.
