Yeah, I agree with falcon in that aiming in the practical sense is very instinctual with nerf guns. Ironically, the longer you take to line up your fire, the more likely you're bound to miss because you're thinking too much. Not to say there's no real aiming involved- but as far as lining up, it's as simple as pointing your gun in the target's general direction. Point, compensate, fire- like firing arrows from a bow. So there doesn't seem to be much reason for a sight yet.

And Forsaken_angel24, yes, I'd be very interested in seeing a video clip of the accuracy you describe with your darts. I'm in no way patronizing you, I really DO want to see it so make good on your word and produce the clip. I'm very much interested in pushing the limits of what a nerf gun can do.

My point in saying this is not to compare Nerf to paintball, but you know what? If you take off your mask or don't wear one to begin with in the middle of a paintball war, whether you're playing on a site or in your backyard, and you get hit in the eye that's your own damn fault.

You don't play with stefans? Then you're missing a large element of what makes war games fun : fear. I get hit with a regular microdart whoopdi-freakin-doo. Yeah, any kind of normal Nerf-like activity can be fun for a while but you add that fear of getting hit, that fear of getting welts from the sting of stefans, it adds another level of pressure.

We make sure we use goggles every time. Some of us are going to start wearing dust masks now too. Stefans are dangerous, so be smart and use precaution. I feel like a G.I.Joe ad, I thought people were smarter than this.

Thanks guys, i did try both the e-tape and the hotglue-only methods and the e-tape seems to work better (the turret has trouble moving 'cause solid glue's rubbery). Still, the range seems kind of the same with macro darts. However, I just tried it right now with stefans and boy- the Mav's not bad at all with the stefans! I'm guessing it's because you can shove the stefans farther down the barrels (thus to stefans, it's actually a longer barrel).

But I did also mod yet another Nite and a Secret Shot (both with copper pipes straight to the plunger tube) and of course, the Mav seriously can't compete with the range on these guns. They not only fire macros pretty far, but the stefans sound like they give welts at about 20'. Thanks again!
