In Topic: If I were to get a metal boltsled for my longshot

Metal bolt sleds are quite expensive, ranging from $60-$80, unless you have the materials to fabricate your own, which even then would require a lot of precise measurements. I recommend you just buy another plastic LS bolt sled and use epoxy to attach an aluminum (.032 thickness is good) or thin steel bolt sled cutout. This only cost me about $5-$8 to do and I have plenty of extra aluminum to reinforce other parts. Also, since it requires you two hands to prime, you might want to make/buy a shotgun foregrip for ease of priming and better distributed force on the bolt sled.

Metal bolt sleds and full upgrade kits can be bought from eBay for about 30$-40$. Not sure where you found overpriced parts...

Not sure if I should link the site, but you can search eBay for nerf mod kits and look for the professional looking ones with boxes and parts listed.

In Topic: Vulcan Safety Removal

It only takes 2 screws to take the door off. The switch could be taped down from the outside, or glued. Mine was always a bitch to open too.

Yep, 2 screws. My Vulcan was jammed a little while ago, and to fix it, I just removed the 2 screws that hold that belt cover down. It still locks into place, but you can slip the whole belt cover off if you need to get into it.

I have both. Got the one with the 'armed' plunger maybe 2 weeks before the newer one. Ive only pulled the AR out of the 'armed' version, and its got some decent punch. I was thinking of taking that Recon spring and throwing it in my LS. I mainly use my blasters in the office, so quiet is better than painful.

There were some really cool looking ideas for new blasters in there. I, for one, hope they plan on making a production model of the rifle looking blaster thats near the bottom of the pic posted a few replies up.

Thanks for the update. Shortly after posting I noticed the link in your sig that goes to a whole bunch of mods. Great work, I hope to grab another LS soon and try this out.
