Probably not my place, but what I understand is that they are domes that have weights outside the foam, in the hot glue dome itself. Weight/aerodynamics are so optimal that it gets unfair to use them.

Yeah, pretty much- and there's a greater risk of the weight ripping out/off of the foam. Funny to see happen when you're dicking around in your backyard (lolwut where'd the weight go?) but never funny for nerf war where you're shooting it at other people...

I'm working now on streamlining this mod a bit. My idea is to secure the plunger rod of the Jolt inside the NF and then use the Jolt's barrel grip lke a shotgun pump. This is with a reworked "inline" Jolt. I like the keyring idea and have some ideas there. I will rebarrel the Jolt here soon.

Dude... sweet... Try throwing a barrel on there, too, for the sake of being able to exchange darts and a better seal.

I know where i can find motors relatively cheap, there are a ew hobby stores in my area. Problem is I've seen motors that go all the way up to 20,000 RPMs, I just didn't want to buy one that was either not powerful enough, or too powerful

Also, thank you for the equation Darthrambo, that will be useful.

The problem with a flywheel blaster isn't a lack of RPMs, it's generally not being able to maintain it for repeated fire. What you COULD do is buy a couple Rustler motors (they're like $10 each, I think.)

It doesn't matter how the blaster fuckin' looks, it just matters that there will be no more rushing on that gun.

But the user would be an asshole and sit back and just shoot people, thus ruining the point of Nerf wars- fast, crazy, generally insane play. EDIT: At least, how the 2 wars that I've played in were.

ON TOPIC: Why did you not integrate the plunger with a keyring pull into the light area, aftermarket barrel to streamline it? Or would it simply not fit?

28ga wads are getting 25-30 feet from a Jolt with the AR removed (a necessary modification).

BTW the Jolt is an astounding little blaster and it's worth it to buy and carry several of them.

Or stick the plungers on the bottom of a Crossbow so you have a backup shotgun.
