I guess I'm sort of a noob asking this, but what does necroed mean? I didn't realize this thread was old because I accessed it from google.

Anyway, I couldn't get image shack to work, so I'll just explain it in words. When the cocking shell is released after cocking the gun, the back black plunger piece is released from the catch. I can fire it by holding the cocking shell back until I want to fire it, and then pressing the trigger and letting go of the cocking shell at the same time.

I'm pretty sure I didn't change the catch spring. I think it has to do with something on the right piece of the cocking shell. There is a notch on it.

This is the case put together without the cocking shell on. See the black thing? I think the notch and that black thing have something to do with it.

Can you guys help me? I got my mav open and took out the air restrictors, and got it closed, but now the black back half of the plunger assembly keeps slipping off of the ring that keeps it cocked. I tried to file down the part that kepps it cocked, but it still slips.

I just ran out to my local hardware store and got a tougher spring, better o-rings, and some 1/2" FBR all for use in my Nite Finder. It shoots about 60 feet. I guess I'm lucky. My dad has a whole bunch of tools, so I never have to worry about if I can make it.
