In Topic: Shields: Do you love them? Hate them? Ban them? Permit them?

We tend to allow shields, simply because gameplay at Grim Up Nerf is so fast paced and our "dialect" of Nerf War is heavily biased towards overpowered auto and semi-auto flywheels.

Having a shield ends up as a distraction from things around you and as soon as you duck behind it, one or two players will be maneuvering to take you out.

Additionally, clusters of players behind a shield hearer become and easy target for anyone with a full mag.

Use flux when soldering.

The first time I touched a soldering iron since school, I had blobs everywhere and I just assumed that was how it was meant to me.

Having some interesting discussion about this on Britnerf.

Basically, it seems that Hasbro may be touting these as more accurate, whilst claiming that elites still have longer range.

However, until we see otherwise, I would argue that both will remain inferior to Koosh.

So here's an idea... why not some sort of spiral koosh design? All the goodness of AccuHappyspin, with the areodynamic properties (and range?) of a koosh.

Fair modderating, Mr Pants.

So, in this video, I decide that the Strongarm is a strong yet flawed sidearm which needs adapting.

So I chop a bit off and now it's much better, to the extent that I'm sure that Hasbro themselves would wish they'd had this idea.

I decided to name it as in the above post.

My apologies for breaking NerfHaven protocol. I'll be sure to act with more decorum in future!

In Topic: On single-handing a Nerf Strongarm or Maverick

If you use the strap idea, you might as well get a Strongarm and be able to slam fire it too.

Further, consider getting a second similar blaster prime them at the same time without either leaving your hand by interlocking the priming handles and pulling in opposite directions.

The two above suggestions being inappropriate, I'd say get another single handed blaster (Hammershot or similar, or, even better, a Barricade [3S motors stock... quick re-wire, 3IMRs and scream away!)

Edit: just re-read original post and I actually think this is quite a dextrous thing to be able to do! Well done if you can make it work! I'm impressed...
