While I know there are some in western NY, there's also a decently sized group in Ontario, if you have a passport and time to drive a few hours. There's a war in the GTA in June.
Wish I had a passport, But I wanted to start doing my own wars

Here are some suggestions:
Mention in the beginning of your post or in the title that you're in the Buffalo area. NY is a big state.
Describe what kinds of darts are allowed/banned and what blaster restrictions there are. You mention springers will have to be checked but what about airguns? What are you checking for?
You don't need to copy paste a bunch of rules from my thread, you can just link to it. You can explain the finer points on-site at the war, and include the things people need to know ahead of time in the war thread (like what darts/blasters are allowed)
I'm not sure if you're new to the hobby or just new to NerfHaven, but it would be helpful to mention wars you've done in the past and how many of your friends you expect to bring, so that people know what they're getting into.
If you aren't planning to bring a bunch of your own people, and you are relying on people from the internet who haven't met you before to come to this thing, the best approach is to post to find out who is in your area and try to coordinate with them. It's way easier than just setting a date and jumping in head first with a date if you've never done this before, and will ensure that people actually show up.
Thank you for the input, Im still setting this up and changing up stuff on it, I plan on adding matches and such. I aim for a fun and en-joyful experience.I have plans on making this a event that runs all summer, But not every weekend, Thanks for the tip.
