If you could provide some photos or even video showing the damaged pieces and how it's not functioning, I'm sure we could help you out. The vulcan is generally considered a "bad" blaster, and being pre-elite doesn't help, so you'll be hard-pressed to find any simple mods that can get it to perform on-par with more modern blasters out there. Unless you're willing to really get your hands dirty overhauling it, I would recommend finding another choice of primary.

Here's my first attempt at swirl hydrographics painting, and I think it looks great. Unfortunately, the cheap plastic and poor engineering in the blaster I chose is so pathetic that it's far beyond moddable or even usable (the catch doesn't work more than half the time.) Apologies for blurry image quality.

Attach bike bumps to your legs with some sort of hinged bracing so that the tank charges when you run. Also, pressure gauge and/or safety release valve, just in case.
This is an amazing idea, please tell me someone's done this before
