Foam Recommendations
08 July 2008 - 02:23 AM
The group that I nerf with consists of about 9 people. All of which have never all nerfed at the same time, but in the upcoming month, we are going to have a war at a local park. Unfortunately we need a lot more stefans then I can supply at this moment, so everyone in the group is chipping in $10 each for FBR so I can make a sufficient amount of stefans for the war. I just need to know where I should order the foam from. I'm looking for quality 1/2 inch Fbr, any help would be appreciated.

Out of sheer boredome I was looking on amazon today and found an interesting gun. Well I searched and I turned up with 2 topics that really didnt inform me about this gun at all so I thought it would be appropriate to create a new topic. So my question is has anyone ever bought, used, or modded this http://www.amazon.co...244281&sr=1-289.
Cliptek Mod!
27 April 2008 - 08:55 PM
Well this would be my second write up if you count my crossfire shield, so I thought that a more complex mod write up was needed. This isn't a completely finished product so, I will either post again with the next steps or just update the first post. Well onto the mod!
Open up your cliptek the internals should look like this. I added fbr to a few places to help silence the gun.
Even if you don't want to silence your gun I must recommend adding Fbr around the stock barrel like so.
This will make sure the barrel stays still.
Next take out the plunger and wrap e-tape around it then add a size 13 o-ring. You might also want to replace the spring. ( I used a double shot spring) That should look something like this.
Now put the gun back together and you should see a range increase. The next part of this mod will be internal banding and possibly a PVC barrel replacement.

Double Shot Springs.

Well my double shot has been broken for about 4 months until today.... I opened it up to scrap it for parts when I found these.
Here is another picture with a NF spring for size comparison
While the o-rings are utterly useless the springs are actually quite powerful. Just thought I would share this with everyone.

Crossfire Shield Mod
31 March 2008 - 01:16 AM
Well I thought it was about time I gave back to the nerf community. So here is an easy way to make a dart holder out of a crossfire shield.
First thing is first get your shield ( I don't think I need to post a picture of this) and start to cut off the foam. After your done, it should look roughly like this.
After doing this start sanding down the surface of the shield
Next start cutting one and a quarter inch sections of cpvc. Then start gluing them onto the shield and your done.
Well thats it...
PS: I felt that this should be posted under modifications because I am altering something not making it out of scratch.
