Find contentYou can't really pick up on it in the photo, but I found a really good pearl effect paint at Micheal's crafts store that has that milky translucent mother of pearl kind of look for the back half of the handle rather than just painting it white. The faux wood on the handle was done with a standard wood-tone brown with black dry brushing to pick up the molded wood grain, but then I went over it with a clear red paint which gave it a deeper varnished cherry wood look.
