(Original Poster requested that I ask any questions here in the thread rather than via Private Message, so I guess I'll do that....)

How should one go about painting a battery-powered blaster without painting the battery compartment? (In this particular case, I'm painting a Demolisher.)
Also, I plan to paint the fake "screws" in the shell gold. Would drybrushing work well for that?

I feel so dumb asking all these questions, but I'd rather ask too many questions now than have another one pop up mid-project.

Are there any brushes you'd recommend for a beginner like myself? (Preferably brushes available on Amazon.)

Also do you have any experience with spray paints made for plastics, and if so would you recommend using them? (By the way, I had no idea it wasn't a good idea to paint the inner shell....)

Awesome thread, can't wait to try it out for my next design.
