I love using megas, I love using jumbos, and I love using mongos. I am not fond of micros or nanos. And this weekend I created a new dart dimension. I call them... Macros.
Right now these darts lack a barrel material and a picture but they are 7/8" diameter and I cut mine to measure 2.5" long and they have a 5/8 fender washer as a weight finished off with a lovely glue dome. If anyone knows of a possible barrel material I could use that would be swell. Thank you.

Clip Material for Megas
25 November 2013 - 05:41 PM
Recently my friend bought some 5/8" foam backer rod instead of 1/2" and instead of returning or using it for its intended purpose (filling cracks) he gave it to me. Ever since then I have stopped using micros with my airguns and have switched over to megas because I think they are superior to micros. The dilemma I'm in is I hardly have any micros left and I just prefer megas, but there's no clip material! If anyone knows what I could use as the clip section of an RSCB that would be great.
White V.S. Conduit

A few months back I ran out of 1/2" pvc. "Meh, no big deal" is what I told myself, but I was wrong.
Since I am a high school student, school takes up a majority of my time. On top of that I attend Ventures and lifesaving team practice so I have even less time to myself. So when I get a chance to go to Home depot I binge buy. But that time when I went to Home depot, they were out of 1/2" pvc! But the man told me that they had conduit available, so I bought that instead. So before I go and buy more conduit (because it is half the price of white pvc) does anyone know why it is so much cheaper and whether or not I should keep using it?
I have a picture comparing the two

"Latex" Dome Darts
04 November 2013 - 07:53 PM
For a while now I have been looking for a McMaster free, cheap, easy, and painless way of producing great performing darts.
The solution: LDD's (I'm not expecting it to catch on)

Here I compared one to a glue dome I made before I mastered this method:
[img][/img]
The first step in making this type of dart is to cut your blanks (no shit)
The foam I use is not that Frost King garbage, I buy my foam from Rona. It is pretty dense compared to what the other big hardware stores carry but its still freakin' gray and impossible to find.
[/img]
The next step is drilling a hole in the center of the blank, I used the wood sanding screw on thing that came with my Dremel and just put some duct tape on some cpvc so it fit well in it. I took a picture so you can see it for yourself:
[/img]
This step is just finding a rig to hold your darts. Iv'e seen people use berserker turrets, rf20 turrets, wood with holes in it but I just use cpvc shoved in some "blow marker" thing I had as a kid.

You dont need to do this for your darts (especially if your going for that "safe dart") but I find all it does is add range. What I did is put a copper BB in each hole, you could also fill it with caulking from the next step.

Almost there
Your going to want to grab your caulk for this step. I used this Mono Ultra stuff I had lying around the house. Your also gonna want to grab your caulk gun so application is smoother.
[/img]
Finally you should have a turret full of darts ready to dry, drying takes 2-3 days so account for that if your making these 10 minutes before you leave for a war. After about a day I go in with my clippers and clip off any excess, I then pat down the domes into a less harmful looking shape.

Nerfers in and around Toronto?
20 October 2013 - 10:06 AM
It was a warm September morning, I crawled out of bed and tip-toed over the mess of darts on my floor. I ran downstairs and booted up my computer, I've been modding long enough that the idea of attending a war with crazy stuff like singled 4B's seemed like fun. After hours of searching, to my despair, I found that not many (if any) Torontonian Nerfers were still around, therefore no wars.
I have decided its my time to step up and host one, but before I go through the scouting process and finding a good date I need to know whether or not anyone is still around. So if you live near the GTA please keep the Canadian Nerf scene alive.
