Dremel Recommendations

28 December 2012 - 11:13 PM

Hey all,

I'm looking into -finally- buying a Dremel so I can work on more difficult mods, but am ensure exactly which model I would want. I figured no one knows better than the customers, so any advice or model recommendations would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I know for sure is that I want one that is corded, because I don't want to deal with buying batteries all the time.

Thanks!

SM 750 Pump Handle Replacement?

01 March 2012 - 08:04 PM

So I came into a secondhand SM750 today, however it lacks the back pump handle. I was curious if anyone knows of a good replacement piece, or how to make one.

Pic of the SM750 I have:

I appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

Titan Scattergun out of a Maverick Turret

23 January 2012 - 11:23 PM

Hey everyone, this is my first write-up so be gentle.
I apologize if the pics are too large or something, as I've never used photobucket before.
The post preview thing is having seizures with my pictures so I'm not sure they will show up when this goes through.

Materials Required:
1/2" CPVC
1/2" SCH40 PVC
1 Maverick Turret
1 1-1/2" x 1/2" SCH40 Bushing
1 2" x 1-1/2" SCH40 Bushing
Hot Glue
Goop (or epoxy etc.)
Hammer
1/2" CPVC singled Titan

(Ignore the tubing, it's not used. I took this before I finalized the design)

Get a ~1.5-2 in length section of both the SCH40 and CPVC.
Fit the CPVC inside the SCH40 pipe, and hammer it down to a nice fit.
Leave enough hanging out to be able to mount it into the coupler on the Titan.
You may need to sand the inside of the SCH40 pipe a bit to get it to fit initially.

Fit the 1-1/2" x 1/2" SCH40 Bushing over the SCH40 pipe snugly.
It shouldn't need any glue to hold.

Next fit the 2" x 1-1/2" SCH40 Bushing over the previous bushing.
If you can find a 2" x 1/2" Bushing im sure that would take care of both of these steps just as well,
but I couldn't obtain one so I used the two I'm showing here.

Take the Mav turret and fill try to seal up the dead space past the holes for the darts.
I went with some more SCH40 pipe and gobs of hot glue to accomplish this, feel free to do whatever suits you best.

Now place the entire back section on the Mav turret. Mine rested comfortably on top of nubs that held the back of the turret on.
These nubs could probably be cut to reduce the gap between the halves if desired.

Goop/epoxy/whatever the two halves together and let them cure for however long is recommended for what you bonded them with.
Stick that guy on the Titan and blast away!

Ranges:
Vary drastically depending on the dart and how tightly it fits in the barrel.
From a few test shots, I was getting ~50ft maybe more.
I don't really have a place long enough to measure huge ranges accurately.

Q/C ?

Thanks for reading :)
