In Topic: Looking for a wood like material

I actually went through the same quest a few weeks ago. Sorry for the delay in replying. A friend introduced me to this stuff called "PVC Wood". It's literally a cross between PVC and wood. It machines like wood and feels like wood, but isn't prone to any of the negative affects that wood is - because it's plastic. However, it's a bit pricey and I've only seen and used it in it's longer skinnier form for Rainbow type handles. It's also white. It's called "PVC Wood" at Lowe's. I Don't think it's the same thing as meteorhound1 mentioned.
I've asked and looked around but haven't found any cutting boards that I've found thick enough to use without having to layer a bunch which I find annoying. The thickest stuff I've found hasn't been greater than 1/4".
You can use HDPE and it comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. But it isn't 'wood'. It's slightly cheaper the more you buy.
Get HDPE or use "PVC Wood" if you really want something with the name 'Wood'.

Streamline tips have a much longer stem than elite tips. This makes them more rigid than elites, which have a tendency to fold in half when used in blasters designed for streamlines.
Hmm, interesting. I honestly can't say I've noticed a large difference in jams between elites and streamies. I guess I don't nerf as much as I thought. I have seen both kinds of darts fold in half and jam equally, but your reason makes sense.
Anyways, the firing issue I was having wasn't due to darts folding. They would chamber, but just wouldn't fire.
Here's a video of me struggling to fire more than three darts without jamming later the same day I bought my ZSLS. Immediately after unboxing, the LS wouldn't shoot more than once without jamming.
Here's a video of me rapid firing the LS with elite darts without a single jam a day after unboxing and firing several dozen darts. In addition to the clips in this video, I've fired many more without jams - but I've also fired my slightly modified 2006 LS without jams so I'm tempted to say the talk of elite jams is far-fetched.
Basically it's the same as the 2006 Longshot.

Just picked one up yesterday. The blaster is extremely prone to jamming if you attempt to prime it quickly, and the prime feels very rigid and mechanical. I suspect this has more to due with the darts than the blaster itself. I'm going to test it with N-Strike streamlines the first chance I get, the jamming issues probably stem from the old internals not being modified to account for any of the issues the original had with elite darts.
I concur. I fired several clips of streamlines as fast as I could and they never jammed. I did the same with new blue elites and they fired just fine. I tried the same with the ZS darts, and they jammed nearly every dart.
However, just now, I rapid-fired a clip of streamies, elites, and ZS darts and all fired without a single jam. Perhaps the ZSLS's just needs 'warming up' to spread the generous amounts of grease around so it functions properly. I have no idea. When I first got it, it jammed nearly every shot, a few hours later, it only jammed once or twice per clip, now it fires any dart just fine.
Also, I've used three different old Longshots with elite darts without any specific jamming issues, so I'm at a loss when it comes to this blaster...
Also, if streamies and elites and the same shape and size, why would they differ in how they're loaded?

I want to get one, but I don't know if the bolt on it is like the old one, or if it have only one handle and a cap to hold it on, refer to the little dude holding one on the zombie strike package to understand what I am talking about.
It has a bolt handle on both sides, like the old one.

But I can't get more than one shot off before it doesn't fire - I suspect it's some sort of lemon, but needless to say, it's very disappointing. It jams nearly every dart straight out of the box.
Oh, and maybe it's just me, but I noticed that priming left handed is now possible. The priming handle no longer locks up when pulled from the side with the clip release.
