You must reinforce the boltsled if you are going to do any spring additions.
While this is a good idea for more serious mods that involve highly upgraded springs, if this is your first or one of your first mods chances are you'll probably just use whatever you have lying around. I believe i put the spring from a broken Recon in my first Longshot. Along with the stock spring it improved the performance but it was still easy to prime and i never had a bolt sled problem. I am all for beefing up your bolt sled if it needs it but don't waste your time if what you decide to do doesn't call for it.
