Hey all. I didn't find another person with the same problem that I had with a panther so I guess I will put this here.
Basically what happened is that I bought a panther at Walmart and opened it up. I was so glad to stumble upon a panther because I remembered they were only in select stores. I was shocked that the tank was reduced to about the size of a hornet. Also, the line that connects the tank and pump is now changed to black and is much smaller. The tank is not secured to the line in any way and there is only an o-ring creating the seal. Even though all these changes were made, I just slapped a 1/2" pvc coupler on it and reduced the front to accommodate. When I pumped it for the first time, the entire tank assembly came out of the front. I must have cut an important piece off that keeps the tank back on the o-ring. Another problem is that it does not sound like a regular panther. When I cut off the front barrel to attach the coupler, the usual junk came out. I can't remember if there was an air restricter in it. When I keep the tank back and pump, then pull the trigger it sounds like an air restricted panther. So, I'm not sure if they changed the tank's AR or moved it. I'm too lazy to investigate further so it's in the trash.
Long story short, they changed the panther to be lame-o. I'm sure the tank can be changed so it sounds like an old AR removed panther. I'm not sure how performance will be effected because of the smaller tank. Maybe, you guys can figure out what's the deal with the newer version of the panther. You might want to buy up some older versions if they are still made because they might become pretty valuable for they're modding potential. Good thing I already have a few of the older versions in my gun box.
Possibly you experienced the same problem and can talk about it here. Let's get to the bottom of this.

Electrical Problems
22 May 2013 - 03:42 PM
Hello all. I have a problem. Here's what I am trying to do: power a tank with a portable air compressor.
I have everything basically done. I have a air compressor, tank, on/off button, and 12v RC battery. I am just having problems with connecting the button.
Every time I have tried to connect the button to the compressor and battery together, the unit doesn't work and the wires start to smoke and burn.
I know there are a lot more people that are far more advanced than I in the field of electricity. I am hoping one or a few of those people know what I am trying to do and can offer some advice.
So, if you could help me out my drawing a diagram or just explaining how I should sodder these wires that would be wonderful.
Thanks a bunch,
Shoopy.

Interested in a Central PA war???
21 August 2012 - 01:10 PM
So, we got wars in Western PA and Eastern PA. Why not in Central PA?
I live in Central PA (Sunbury) and would love to host a war. I thought this is a pretty good location for a war. People from Philly, Pittsburgh, NJ, Maryland, Ohio, and New York can come to this location fairly easyly (for the most part).
I'd like to have a war in Central PA every month like Hero does with his NJNOs. This is the main goal.
I just need to make sure there are people interested in this because I don't want to host a war and end up have 2 people attend.
Just answer the poll and post in the thread if you are interested or not. I won't be offended (too much).

McMaster-Carr Check Valve
19 July 2012 - 07:57 PM
I am modding a 4B SVT style and I need to have a check valve so air doesn't push the bike pump handle back.
When ever I pump, the pressure just pushes the pump handle out because there is nothing keeping the air out of the bike pump.
I know a check valve is needed.
I tried a few different homemade ones and they didn't work.
I went to many stores to find that they don't sell check valves
I searched for a check valve online.
I found this on McMaster-Carr. (Part number 47245K25)
Will it work with a 4B? Will it be too much pressure for it?
Thanks,
Shoopy

AT3K Question
17 July 2012 - 01:51 PM
I am modifying a AirTech 3K and want to know if I should either 1) Coupler it for use of a hopper or 2) PETG the turret.
I usually use homemades with hopper clips and I usually rush a lot at wars. I like to use hoppers with all my primaries but, I am wondering if I will not get desired ranges (no less than 100') using a hopper opposed to having single barrels with a turret.
Like I said before, I like hopper clips more than turrets. Will using a hopper effect my range? I guessing it would so, do you think it's a worthy sacrifice?
Please just don't say hopper/coupler or turret. Please back up your answer with a reasonable opinion.
Thank you,
