Now before people flame me for using a longshot shell, I got this thing at Goodwill and it was T-O-A-S-T. So I'm NOT insane and I DIDN'T waste a perfectly good longshot. Carry on:

Very nice! Maybe I could do the same thing to my longstrike, make it war-worthy!

That's firing around magstrike speed! Strap a drum on that thing and it's an amazing rushing weapon!

Since it seems this thread is alive again, here goes. All ranges were tested level with the ground, which was also relativly level. The furthest shooting dart went 118ft. It might be worthwhile to mention that I measured the distance with toothpicks. Is that sketchy enough for you?

Here are a few extra photos that I managed to scrap out of an old SD card. The quality isn't great, but the're all I have. I dropped the gun down the stairs at a war....by by gun :sob:

Yes, its an awesome mod and wayyyyyyyy more advanced than the plans I had for my Barricade, but somewhere around 70 ft is what I got with a Barricade with stock flywheels and 18v of power. Maybe I'm missing something, I'll go back and read the writup again. But whether the gun gets 30ft or 200ft, its still an awesome mod that takes skills and hard work. Well done!

btw: Thats awesome that you measured in toothpicks :D must've taken you forever, but at least we know its accurate!
