I super-glued a circular piece of neoprene to the plastic piece the ram strikes (I'm not sure what it's called). You can't have holes for extra air flow if you do it, but it works really well for sound reduction. Hope that made sense.
That's awesome, I think I'll try that. Thanks for the link, GP.
I know this should go in homemades forum, but what is good to use for lubrication when making a plunger? I would like it to be reeeeeeeally airtight if possible. And does plumber's goop adhere to metal at all?
I didn't cut off the front on mine, just the ammo holder. I still have a bit of sanding to do . . . and mine isn't going to have a nice silencer on it like that. I think I'm going to use iron conduit for the barrel if it's supposed to work well. I will try to post pictures in a week or so.
Wow. Iron conduit. That kicks ass, but does it work with stock darts very well? I'm modding my own nite finder and I'm trying to decide what to use. I do like a heavy feel in general.
I'm a complete newb at nerf modification, but it's going pretty well. I replaced the lame laserpointer with a black mini-maglite. It has potential . . .
