Sneak Shot Help
23 July 2005 - 03:52 PM
A while back, I took everything out of my sneakshot to integrate a sm1.5k into the shell, I also cut lots of the plastic itself our. Now, I want to rebuild it but can't figure out how it goes together sepecially will all the plastic walls cut out. Any help, especially pics would be greately appreciated. If someone is awesome enough to give me pics, I would really love it if you got me one with the internals in place and one with nothing in it. Thanks.

Does anyone know of a site that will host audio clips above 12 mb? I can't seem to find one. Thanks in advance.
My Finished Maverick
16 May 2005 - 02:58 PM
Alright, many of you know that I love my Mavrick more than any other sidearm I have and wanted to improve the performance and overall style of the blaster. Well here is the finished product.

Man does this pic make my hand look small.
It has the air restrictors and pegs removed, just standard mods. I was going to perform the modification that allows the turret to be pulled out further but could not find it and was too urgent to finish it. I may do it later but I don't really feel the need to. I then replaced the spring that I got from what I now believe to be a Ratchet Blast. Instead of reinforcing the shell of the gun, I decided to add some padding where the plunger shaft hit the shell to lessen stress on the case, along with reducing the noise of the gun dramatically. I then painted it and well that's it. I still have some touch-ups to do with the paint but nothing major.
I am very satisfied with the performance. It gets around 60-65' flat but I have't done any official range testes yet due to weather problems. I was making one of Black Wrath’s holsters for it but before I could tape it, my basement flooded and a bunch of my stuff including the holster got wet. Well anyway, that’s it.
Post numero dos hundred. yay.

Mav Mod
10 May 2005 - 07:49 PM
Alright well, let me start out saying that I love the Mav. Even though the ranges aren't so hot, I think the rof makes up for it and then some. But so many people seem to hate on it because it can't outshoot their nitefinders. Well my friends, thats all about to change...sort of.
So a few of my friends and I are having one of our all night wars out it the country this weekend so I started to do check through my arsenal and see if anything needed improvements. Besides my WildFire exploding and my TTG shooting the whole plunger assembly out the front of the gun, it was an ok check up, except for my good ol' Mav. I knew that it would get used this weekend so I decided to try and beef it up. While looking through my massive basin of busted guns and parts. I came across two good sized springs. One I believe was to a SneakShot but the other is unknown. The SneakShot one pretty good and was about the same diameter as the Mav.
So I figured what the hell and put the spring in. It fit perfectly. Getting the case back on was a bit of a challenge but after a few tries. It went together. I noticed that when cocking the gun there was a greatly noticable increase in resistance. I loaded it up and shot a few rounds. I was very amazed. It shot about with the same power of my NFs so went outside fore a range test. The result of the test:.... 65-70 ft! Ot quite on par with the NF but close enough, and with six shots its awesome. I am very satisfied with it. It is definately my new favorite sidearm.
The only downside is that I noticed that the plastic around the pulger was becoming stressed and will need some reinforcement, but no biggie. Anyway, I highly recommend looking through your broken guns and find somehting that fits. Its a quick ten minute mod with astounding results.
