Converting Water Guns>?

"step 3:Converting Water Guns to Nerf.
This is SIMPLE. Just strap on a barrel to where the water flows from. This is probably the easiest thing to do, and the most effective.
My water guns shoots a good 150' feet. Its absoultly scary to be honest. These aren't your old nerf gun, this thing will hurt. Alot."
Is this true?
If so any type of water gun I need like a pump gun or something?

A word of caution: not every water gun has been converted, so if you don't work with their internals regularly, I'd suggest sticking to a gun and a mark of that gun that has already been converted by someone. Either that or doing some research about particulars. There are certain guns which may be converted without even opening them, while there are others which really aren't worth the effort [the CPS 4100 mk2, 2100 mk2, 1200 mk2 and 4, XP 310 mk2,and all Max-D mk1's come to mind].

I'm pretty sure that most Super Soakers don't have Nerf-style over pressure valve on their pumps.
well today I bought a maxd 5000 for 2.99$ at value village and as far as im concerned all I have to do is plug the pressure valve? and add a barrel if im not mistaken.
EDIT: Here's a link showing how to "freeze the check valve."
