Somehow the homemade section of this forum have turned into a wasteland of stupid stuff ( no offense). So i hope that seeing that a stupid fuck like me can build a working gun would encourage people to build guns of their own.

I shouldn't have to post a "thanks carbon you are so cool" thing since everyone knows that he is the creator of the original snap guns but it couldn't hurt so: Thanks carbon!

So here it is.

Does posting in agreement somehow validate your standing in the community? Personally I think it just makes you look like a tool.

I'm anxiously awaiting the hasbro over throw.

One Man Clan, or One Man Company?

The ranges with the very short fucked up barrel are quite good but the darts fishtail like hell. The darts fly through my approximately 30 ft long hallway without loosing any height so around 60 to 70ft would not be impossible.

Good job. I always like seeing different approaches, and I'm really curious about some of the parts you used.

1. What is your plunger head made out of, and how is it attached?
2. I can't for the life of me see how your trigger works...it looks like it's all glued together. What did you do, and what moves?
3. Is your "endcap" by the barrel just a glued-on piece? How well does it hold pressure?

Looking forward to seeing what it does with a longer barrel....good work.

1. The plunger head is made out of foam discs wich ware the ammo for a disc launcher I had.

2. I didn't want to take the gun apart completely and the only way to show the trigger mech is to remove the lower receiver. But it's a very simple clothespin trigger.

Here is a picture of a very similar trigger on another gun where it's exposed. It's very bad but i hope that you can see how it works.

3. The front endcap is a glued on plastic piece with some foam stuff on the inside to reduce the force of plunger. It woks great because the springs are not long enough to apply pressure to the front endcap. The rear end cap is actually a endcap from one of those big mentos pipes.
