How about instead of having little ammo packets, we use an RF20 and do single shots, it works for me, and I still have ammo left over even after a few battles. Unless you're a monkey that just chugged a pill bottle of Vicodin, it's not that hard to do single shots, you just need to be able to tap the trigger. Not that everyone has an RF20, but Magstrikes, Wildfires, and others work as well.

I'm going to pull out this line: "Speculation is a waste of time. Just wait and see what comes of this. If anything." - Captain Slug.
Captain Slug, I couldn't have said it better.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Coodude, He edited his post so that it made more sense after I posted mine.

And that magstrike doesn't work all that well anyway. It's arcing after what, 15 feet? The magstrike and rf20 are made to be automatic guns. If you use them semi auto, you're defeating the purpose and using them to great disadvantage.

IT was a proof of concept. And I haven't modded it that much.

So long story short, you cut a hole in a box and put darts in it?

Dude, this post is 3 weeks old, and the guy's been bashed for 2 pages. It was a simple mistake, so just let the thread die already.
