I was wondering what the general availability of rf20's is. I saw a few for sale at my local TRS that hadn't ever been in stock before. I was wondering whether I should pay the 34.99 (CAD) for one, or just leave it be. Searches brought up nothing recent about their availability, so this looked like the next best thing.

In the U.S., TRU always stocks the RF20s, and I see them occassionally in Target. I don't know about in Canada, though.

According to the current currency exchange rate, $20 U.S. is about $21-22 CAD. That means that your RF20 is going to cost more than our usual down here, but you live relatively close to the border, so you could try getting one from an American TRU.

Thanks. With that price in the States, I may just pick one up next time I'm at Bellis Fare.

This topic seems to be fostering laziness for new people. That means they'd find a way to get around our elaborate system to get rid of them. I mean seriously, it's not hard to read write ups and mods for guns. Some members rush to be the first guy to buy the gun, take pictures, and then add a coupler to it and call it a mod. Then inevitably some good modder takes care of where the first guy was lacking.

Or, you could try the method of seeing how it fares at wars, but that's requiring you to get out and Nerf; heaven forbid.

Couldn't agree more. If someone was really serious about modding a gun, they would read the threads, look for a good mod, and do it.

Guys I now own a modded dtg! Thank you a lot for suggestions. I removed the air restrictors, but I am not sure how to build a speed loader.

This thread, unless I severely misinterpret, is for deciding which gun to get. The modification directory, to which I liked last page, has all of the modification info you should need to start. If not, just do a search for "dtg clip".

Ok, I need a good long range gun that is easy to mod, and is still on store shelves. It will be used in outdoor wars

For me, longshots are rather hard to mod, and none of the stores around me carry the lbb or big blast

K-Mart carries Buzz Bee guns. Also, if you are new to modding, don't do the LS. It'll be hell trying to get the cuts, part placement, and general mods correct.

Sadly, there are no k-marts between chelais and lacey, as far as I know. Also, the only place I know of that has buzz bee stuff ran out of big blasts, like, two days before I decided to get one.

I have done an ls, but the bolt got messed up, and I therefore had to remove the dart tooth, making it practiclly useless.

Try a BBB. If you're careful, you can go ABBB when you have more experience.

I already have a BBB. It was actually my first mod. It just doesn't get suffiecant range, now that one of my friends modded a Titan, and I know he'll taking it to are next war. I need a gun that gets atleast seventy or eighty feet without tons of work.Maybe I'll get another and do a spring replacement.

Definitely do a spring replacement; you can't get those ranges without one.

The pump shotguns your best bet, but if you can find a crossbow, GET IT. If you mean a two shots at once by double barrel modded, go with the warthog. If you don't, it depends what your looking for. If you want a shotgun, get the warthog. If you want a good overall, get the secret shot.

Get a Tech Target. Trust me. Mine came in the mail today and it owns my NightFinder, maybe even my 3k.

Get the old one. Just take out the pole, cover the holes in the plunger, shove CPVC down there, and it shoots close to 60 feet if not higher.

And the ammo holders can hold other barrels for great rof.

For the primary, get the Crossbow, Longshot, or clipped Big Blast.

The Pump Shotgun I'm not sure about, but all the above get pretty similiar ranges and accuracy.

The Pump shotgun and the Double Barrel'd secret shot 1, are going to to way easier to get and will give you the same results. They will run you about $65 for both including modding supplies, while the X-bow and the Warthog are going to cost about $90, not including modding supplies cost.

I already have the modding supplies.....I just need to figure out which combo would be the best in terms of range/accuracy.

They are equal for the most part. However, the Crossbow adds so much more to your badassitude. It is also more comfortable to hold and aim (even though the trigger has to be pulled flush with the shell to fire) than the Pump Shotgun, which has a very awkwardly-shaped handle and a highly sensitive trigger. I can't help you with the sidearms, but I would suggest a double-barreled NF for a cheap substitute. If you did a doubled-up double-barreled NF (the 2x NF done with double-barreled guns), then you could have a serious backup weapon, if somewhat hard to holster.

The Pump shotgun and the SS I are both going to be cheaper together, than the X-bow alone, and will get you the same performance.
