I have a competision with my friend, the most powerful, accurate and easy to operate guns wins. I have made already a desgin of my valve, because i'm Dutch I make youse of centimeters instead of inches. The pipe for the valve wil be 1.25 inch PVC grey(i couldnt get white :) ), it can shoot automatic but it is made for semi-automatic :) . Pictures soon.

Homemade pump valve? Waa? Sounds pretty neat if it can fire auto and semi-auto.

More details please. :) Unless it's the bottom pic. But then I don't get it. :(

Best of luck with your competition. You two should have a shoot-out with either gun to decide who wins. Or not. But it would still be fun. :)

Despite the scant details you have given us about your gun, I have a feeling it will be a revolutionary concept, like the FAR. When you have it done, post a write-up. Yes, I did just wake up, but that's summer for ya.

Brass,
I didn't read the whole text from the far but, with what kind of ammo you will shoot Air is the best propulsion. If your ammo get a punch from a spring it get already slower in the barrel :( , with air as propulsion the ammo will ga even faster at a point in the barrel.

Try Zero's valve; it's not made for 1u1/4" PVC but you sure could put it inside of some.

The problem with the valve from Zero is that the parts are not to get in the netherlands(yes it suck's <_< ). But anyway I have maded another valve  , this time better and with a spring. Now its getting better and better, my friend is making a BBMG en the jury (one person) is a BBMG freak <_< . So I'm making a simple air tank from two soda bottles, some wood and plexiglas, problem solved(I hope  )

In a spring gun, the spring does not hit the dart.

Be careful with the soda bottle, they are built to store pressure, but they could explode fairly easily. I'd use PVC or something, I think it'd be a lot safer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

*this post has been cleared*

Sorry, I didn't realize my brother still had access to my Nerfhaven account because of the "remember me" setting for his computer (which I used to use). I'm shutting down the auto-loggin on his computer, so this won't happen again.
