Has anyone seen or bought this gun.

Probably not, since it's being released June 2nd. I've seen an Optimus Prime version of said blaster, but it only made noises.
Interesting find, but dunno about the $30.00 price tag

Oh. Sorry about that. Try this: http://hasbro.com/co...rs_blasters.flvThis is the commercial.
Link doesn't work. For me, at least. It said, "404 not found."

Well at least we now know that they are both inverse (or is it inverted?) plunger guns. That means they will suck horribly. As movie tie-in guns always do.Oh. Sorry about that. Try this: http://hasbro.com/co...rs_blasters.flv

How do we know that?
Watch the commercial and look at when the kids cock their blasters: the cocking thing snaps back to the original position. The only other (easily available) blasters that do this are the maverick, crossfire/strikefire, the scout and the DTG. (Don't say longshot: you have to manually slide the bolt forward.) The crossfire is the only decent stock blaster, but they all can be a pain in the ass to mod. The maverick has turret seal problems, and the scout and crossfire are hard to get working after a barrel replacement. The DTG is decent, but also has a fairly small plunger. They all have very small plungers to begin with, have weak-ass springs, and are all plagued by the fact that the metal rod in the cocking slider is easily bent/broken/lost.
They will also be a royal pain in the ass to mod. They have to be filled with gears and shit like that because they will have to "transform" in order to work.
Have fun getting that back together....
