Put me down as a maybe, depending on location and ruleset.
I'm assuming it's going to be the same as others past.
I doubt I'll have anything productive to do during June 2014, but knowing my luck one of my parents or both of them will decide they want to drive to a tourist spot in LA instead of bringing me to a public park where grown adults and man children shoot each other with plastic foam projectile launchers meant for kids under 13 in the same area.
Pft stupid me I'll be able to drive (legally) by then...
Parents probably still won't let me go.
But it's a definite maybe.

please confirm whether you are actually seriously going to attend, are merely considering coming out (a maybe) or if you were just screwing around because you thought this was a joke.
I was quoting what Langley said earlier. Seeing as how this is the largest and closest NiC war to my location, I will seriously plan around this and bend over backwards to make it. So I'm a maybe.

I'm "merely considering coming out (a maybe)" at this point. Depending on gas/plane $ mostly.
Please don't reply to this thread unless you are seriously planning to attend. I'm sure there are lots of us who would attend if we could, but if you really don't have any idea if you will possibly be able to make it, keep it to yourself. Many people are actually willing to plan around this event over the next year and bend over backwards to find a way to fly across the country. Hearing, "I am considering going", especially from someone new to the site tells me that you're less likely to go than not, and you're just filling this thread up with garbage.

Langley, I would give you a definite answer if I was given a definite location.
Until then I can't confirm my attendance.
Sorry.
It will in all likelihood be within an hour of LA. If that is not enough information for you to go on, then there's no need to comment until further details are available.

Historically 'geddon has been friendly to some of the more creative darts. I'm hoping they'll continue that. I'd like to introduce a new re-development of Gumdrop darts (gumdrops 2.0).Any rules on darts and blasters yet? I'd just like too...plan ahead.

One more thing... In order to free up trunk space on the return leg, every blaster we bring down will be for sale.

- I've booked my hotel room (Garden Inn & Suites - if any other out of towners feel like taking the place over with me.) I've e-mailed them asking about a potential group discount but haven't heard anything back.
I'm still looking for more direction on darts and blasters. Who is going to be having the final approval for field use? Is it still SCUN?
I'm hoping to run with silicone ammo again (I'll be willing to send out samples of gumdrops 2.0 and (once I complete some more development) 3.0) I'm also hoping to run with a modified air blaster - but I know some nerfers (specifically on the east coast)have significant reservations about those. Dead space in the pump tube physically (and permanently) limits pressure to 15-20 psi, I also plan on reducing the tank (it's currently at the stock volume which is huge!). Once done it will have a 3 round burst RSCB and other innovative features. I know it won't be granted approval via the net - I'm just wondering who I'm going to need to be sending dart samples to / bribing for approval.
I'll be sure to bring back-ups just in case.
P.S. I'll be driving from Salt Lake City to 'geddon. If anyone between here and there or can get to SLC on Thursday the 19th (my departure date) would like to jump in /carpool/ pitch in on gas let me know. I've currently got 3 (seats 4-5) in my car but can take the van (seats 7) if needed.

Really?
Yes.
Where and when?
Tentatively, Cullen Elementary School in Glendora, CA, the site of last year's Armageddon. I'm still workshopping locations so as to minimize the chances of us being removed from anywhere, which would not only suck but would be a huge hassle for the biggest war of the year in the region. Plan as if 21 June is the date of the war, because it almost certainly will be.
Dart?
Slugs and safer darts only. No metal is preferred but I understand that to maximize attendance while keeping it safe I need to keep this restriction more open. If you do make slugs, use #6 washers and not #8 washers. Use Ryan McNumbers' excellent guide available here if you plan on making slugs. If you use larger ammo, like megas or similar, keep them soft-tipped by the same guidelines as above.
Who?
Everyone is welcome to come, veterans and newcomers alike. I'm not going to outright ban people younger than 13 but if you are under 13 or plan on bringing someone who is, you are responsible for them all day and you are especially responsible for them remaining safe (hydrated and wearing eye protection). I will be running this war with the assistance of others (including, but not limited to, Ryan, Langley, and Apollo256).
What isn't allowed?
With dart restrictions, there isn't as much of a need for blaster regulations. Don't bring Titans shooting micro darts because that's just ridiculous. I and other war council advisors will spot-ban things if you are lasering dudes from a million miles away.
What gametypes?
Expect to play some carpe testiculum and related gametypes. There will probably be some quick-run deathmatch as well, to suit those people like Gears with a bloodlust that knows no bounds. There will be minimal team captain team picking to keep downtime short.
Anything else?
Bring lots of water. I'll probably end up picking up a pallet of water bottles as backup but it does get hot and you will probably be running around so expect to need to drink something.
I will post more as the war date approaches. If you have specific questions or concerns, PM me, or post them here, or whatever.

are hot glue stefans ok?
Here are the dart restrictions for this war (copied and pasted from the first post, detailing the rules/regs):
Slugs and safer darts only. No metal is preferred but I understand that to maximize attendance while keeping it safe I need to keep this restriction more open. If you do make slugs, use #6 washers and not #8 washers. Use Ryan McNumbers' excellent guide available here if you plan on making slugs. If you use larger ammo, like megas or similar, keep them soft-tipped by the same guidelines as above.
Glue domes are not considered to be safe darts, by these standards they are disallowed.
Legal darts include, but aren't limited too:
